It is absolutely beautiful to think about a yoga practice being like a moving meditation! As such it becomes an internal practice that truly allows us to feel the state of the body as well as our energy level on that particular day and at that particular moment. The idea of letting the breUnath surround the movement is like noticing the energy outside our bodies like in Alex Gray’s “Sacred Mirrors”.
The idea of being present with my breath and honoring the state of my body at each practice allows for a beautiful self-permission to challenge myself without straining myself. Thus bringing my mind together with my body and my mind in alignment with my body while at the same time being aware of my breath.
Being in the moment is a wonderful invitation for care and resiliance.
